Carbon fiber reinforced polyamide (nylon)
PA-CF 3D printing service
PA-CF is nylon reinforced with chopped carbon fiber. It is the strongest and most heat tolerant material on this list: stiff, wear resistant, and able to hold its shape well above the boiling point of water. Pick it for load-bearing and end-use mechanical parts.

Fit for purpose
Where PA-CF works, and where it doesn't.
Good for
- Load-bearing brackets and structural parts
- Gears, bushings, and parts that slide or wear
- Under-hood and near-engine automotive parts
- End-use tooling and production fixtures
Properties
- Highest strength and stiffness of the materials we offer
- Heat tolerance to roughly 150–180 °C
- Excellent wear and chemical resistance
Things to consider
- Nylon absorbs moisture from the air, which lowers stiffness slightly over time
- Costs more and takes longer than PLA or PETG
- Black only in most cases
